Practice timers underneath advance only while audio runs, so a five-minute block means five minutes of actual clicking, not five minutes with the tab open. Short timed blocks beat endless looping
Nine-eight tires ears when the tempo is wrong: too fast and the groups blur; too slow and you over-analyze each eighth. Set a session timer for five or eight minutes of actual playback, or use countdown so the click stops when the block ends. Watch the pendulum on the last bar—rushing often shows as the swing creeping ahead of the sound.
